Two of a family run over by train

A mother and daughter were run over by a train at Pulinchiodu near Aluva on Thursday. Seetha, 40, wife of Devadas, Valiyaveetil House, Munambam, and her daughter Aswathy, 15, a Plus Two student, are the deceased.
According to the police, the accident took place around 5.25 pm when the victims were crossing the railway track. Both were hit by the Dhanbad-Alappuzha Express and died on the spot. The bodies have been kept at the Ernakulam General Hospital and would be handed over to the relatives after conducting post-mortem on Friday.
