Tablet PCs for St Peter’s kids

In a tribute to his alma mater, Union Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies K V Thomas announced that all students of Class XI of St Peter’s School, Kumbalangi will be provided with tablet PCs.
K V Thomas said this while addressing the students of the school on Monday. Thomas completed his schooling at St Peter’s School some 60 years ago. The Minister also promised an aid of `34 lakh for developing the infrastructure of the institution. The funds will be utilised to construct a new auditorium, exhibition centre and a training centre.
Thomas who reached the school early in the morning attended the assembly.
Later he visited the classrooms. He was surprised to see the same old mango tree under which he had practised elocution during his school days.
Principal C J Xavier, headmistress Tissy Jacob, and Kumbalangi panchayat president Usha Pradeep president were also present.
