Hyderbad city kid makes the country proud

Pattapu Raghava made the city proud by winning a silver medal in the Kumite event and a Bronze medal in the Kata event, under the below 9 years category, at the International Karate Open Championships, held at the Putrajaya Sports Complex in Kuala Lampur, Malayasia.
The seven-year-old is a second grade student from the AMS LAB school in Hyderabad and takes coaching at Yamaguchi. Being the youngest participant in the competition, Raghava lost to Thailand in the final by one point. More than 23 countries participated in the championship, that included Malaysia, Srilanka, Australia, Thailand and Indonesia among others.
