As the Games take the world through the excitement only sports can incite, the social media is buzzing. But there’s more to look forward to than watching the events on the telly.

Join Olympic Athletes’ Hub through your Facebook and Twitter account and connect with your favourite athletes in the Olympic Village, through real time chats. This online sports community launched by the Olympic Committee has compiled the Twitter and Facebook feeds of over 2,000 Olympians.

Join the run:

The world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt, along with Rock Live (a gaming platform) launched a game called Bolt recently. The free game puts you in Bolt’s  home country, Jamaica, where you have to outrun pirates to safeguard Bolt’s precious gold medals, while dodging cannonballs and explosions. Mascot mania:

This site will have you and your tot wanting to take a shot at it. Not only can you can create new avatars for the Olympic mascots, Wenlock and Mandeville, but also get hooked to games like Super Trampoline and Rainbow Relay.
