Supporters of two Muslim organisations staged demonstrations here on Thursday, demanding that the Government initiate steps to rebuild the demolished Babri Masjid in the same place in Ayodhya.
Syed Bukhari, north Chennai secretary of the India Thowheed Jamath (ITJ), said, “Pressing for the Babri Masjid to be rebuilt, ITJ has planned to carry out a march covering the entire State from January 31.”
The Tamil Maanila Muslim League also staged a demonstration in the city.
Meanwhile, the Hindu Munnani too held demonstrations at multiple points in the city on Thursday, demanding the construction of a temple at the Ram Janmabhoomi site in Ayodhya.

Instead of heading on for the conflict zone, why not both the parties come together and build a twin towers structure, like The Petronas Towers; one each could be used by each sides and both will feel victorious. There could also be a bridge between the towers symbolizing mutual understanding and friendship!! Wishful thinking, isn't it?!!

The little girl is shouting slogans enthusiastically in the demonstration, we could see from the photograph. Everyone could understand their feelings. The then govt. headed by late Narashima Rao had assured to rebuild Majsid but it was not. The govt may consider Rao's assurance. Both the worshiping places may be the simple for peace of the people. The Hindus and the Muslims should come to an amicable solutions.

Amicable solution to this is muslims should stay away from ayodha as this place belongs to hindus before muslim barbarian rulers destroyed it...Now it is high time land should be returned to the rightfull owner....Politicial parties should stop playing muslim victim card...Pay Back time over due

the archeological exavations have proved the existence of a grand hindu temple before the mosque was built on it after demolishing a part of the sriram temple.ayodhya is holiest to hindus just as mecca and medina are to muslims.how would muslims feel if their holiest shrines in mecca and madina are sought to be converted into non islamic places of worship?the moghul invaders deliberately destroyed the holiest hindu places of worship to mock at the hindus and their helplessness.it is a shame that today*s muslims instead of retifying suh horrible hisotrical mistakes are trying to repeat the same invading mentality.building a grand temple for sriram in his birthplace at ayodhya is the only possible and feasible solution.what the hindus are demanding is just a restoration of the property taken away from them by foreign invaders.
