Indian Bank presents bravery awards

When five fishermen from Uroorkuppam jumped into the Bay of Bengal to save the lives of five sailors as Cyclone Nilam raged around them, they were not thinking of awards or accolades. However, appreciation has flooded them from all quarters, applauding their bravery in the face of immense danger to themselves.
Appreciating their act, Indian Bank has announced a cash award of Rs 10,000 to each fisherman. They were felicitated at the bank’s corporate office at Royapettah. Chairman and Managing Director T M Bhasin, Executive directors Rajeev Rishi and B Raj Kumar were also present.
