Rally against corruption today

Several activists in the city will team up for the protest against corruption in Freedom Park on Wednesday. It is being led by India Against Corruption and activists, Justice Santosh Hegde and freedom fighter H S Doreswamy. They will demand a strong Lokpal Bill and protest against delayed appointment of Lokayukta in the state. “Freedom Park will again become the venue for a movement against corruption. It is of the people and by the people,” said Hegde. “A second freedom movement is the need of the hour. It is the duty of the citizens to protect the Constitution and laws,” Doreswamy said. The members will hold a rally from Freedom Park to Chikpet on Saturday at 10.30 am.
