Deveshwar appointed on RBI board

The government has appointed ITC chairman Y.C. Deveshwar as a director on the central board of directors of the Reserve Bank of India.

A notification to this effect was issued by Vijay Malhotra, undersecretary in the finance ministry. Deveshwar's appointment will be for a period of four years.
