Making its foray into the multi-utility vehicle (MUV) segment, Nissan Motor India Private Limited on Tuesday launched its 7-seater MUV Evalia in India.
Built at Nissan’s Oragadam plant near Chennai, Evalia is the third car from the Nissan platform. Besides Evalia, the company already sells Micra hatchback and Sunny sedan.
Priced in the range of Rs 849,000-Rs 999,000, Evalia will be available across all the 75 dealers of Nissan in the country from Wednesday.
The company is aiming to sell 2,000 to 2,500 units of Evalia initially. By FY14, the company will also launch the Datsun brand in India.
