European markets opened on a positive note on Tuesday as
investors assessed the impact of a partial shutdown of the US
Europe's leading blue-chip index for the Eurozone, Euro STOXX 50
gained 6.70 points or 0.23% to trade at 2,899.85. French benchmark
index CAC 40 went up 13.40 points or 0.32%, to trade at
Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 32.40 points or 0.38% to
trade at 8,626.80.
Meanwhile, UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 fell 8.66 points or
0.13% to trade at 6,453.56.
