European markets opened lower on Friday, as investors awaited a
report on U.S. retail sales.
Europe's leading blue-chip index for the Eurozone, Euro STOXX 50
declined 5.32 points or 0.19% to trade at 2,856.75. UK's benchmark
index FTSE 100 fell 13.03 points or 0.20% to trade at 6,575.95.
Germany's benchmark index DAX declined 10.4 points or 0.12% to
trade at 8,483.6.
Meanwhile, French benchmark index CAC 40 went down 1.50 points
or 0.04%, to trade at 4,105.13.
