Delta Corp surges on strong Q1 numbers

Delta Corp surged on Wednesday after company announced strong Q1 numbers. Shares ofthe companyare trading at Rs 60.55, up Rs 2.95, or 5.12% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 10:50 a.m.The company reported a rise of 36.38% in consolidated net profit to Rs 161.2 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 118.2 million in the same period last year.

Total consolidated income has decreased by 21.05% to Rs 719.8 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 from Rs 911.7 million in the year ago period.The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 61 and low of Rs 58.15. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 614,532.In the earlier session, the shares climbed 0.26%, or Rs 0.15, at Rs 57.60. Currently, the stock is trading down 47.58% from its 52-week high of Rs 115.50 and above 16.44% over the 52-week low of Rs 52.
