GMDC gains post Q1 earnings

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation
(GMDC) gains on Wednesday after company posted goodQ1 earnings.
Shares ofthe companyare trading at Rs 190.65, up Rs 3.65, or 1.95%
at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 10:26 a.m.The
company announced on Tuesday a rise of 11.11% net profit to Rs 1.70
billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 1.53
billion in the same period last year.
Total income has gone up 7.94% to Rs 5.16 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 from Rs 4.78 billion in the year ago period.The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 191.05 and low of Rs 187. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 5,878.In the earlier session, the shares lost 0.45%, or Rs 0.84, at Rs 187. Currently, the stock is trading down 10.32% from its 52-week high of Rs 212.60 and above 26.05% over the 52-week low of Rs 151.25.
