Sturdy Inds surges on new orders worth Rs 1.34 bn

Sturdy Industries surged on Wednesday
after the company bagged two contracts aggregating to Rs 1.34
billion. First order is issued for supply of aluminium conductors
by Power Grid Corporation of India worth Rs 915.4 million on dated
July 12, 2012.Shares ofthe company istrading at Rs 3.10, up Rs
0.14, or 4.73% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at
9:31 a.m.Another order is from Punjab State Transmission
Corporation of India of Rs 430 million issued on July 16, 2012.The
scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 3.10 and low of Rs 3. The
total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 5,026.In the earlier
session, the shares lost 0%, or Rs 0, at Rs 2.96. Currently, the
stock is trading down 42.59% from its 52-week high of Rs 5.40 and
above 34.78% over the 52-week low of Rs 2.30.
