IIFL, Religare gain as FM reduced STT

Religare and India Infoline climbed on Thursday after Finance Minister proposed reduction in Securities Transaction Tax (STT) in respect of certain transactions.
P Chidambaram noted STT has a stabilising effect on transactions and he proposed reductions in the rate of tax taking note of the changes and shifts in the market.
Religare Enterprises climbedthe most with rise of3.21% followed by India Infoline (1.72%).
