Select mid-caps stocks plunge for second day; Aanjaneya tumbles 20%

Selectmid-cap stocks fell for the second day led by Aanjaneya Lifecare, Welspun Corp, Cinemax India, DB Realty and three other stocks. On the other hand, ABG Shipyard, CORE Education and Orbit Corporation recovered on Tuesday from yesterday's fall.

Mid-cap losers

Aanjaneya Lifecare tumbled 20%, to trade at Rs 455.45. Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 51.20% to 45,996 compared with 22-day average volume of 94,245.

Welspun Corp plunged 4.46%, to trade at Rs 64.20. Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 80.74% to 4,517,695 compared with 22-day average volume of 2,499,566.

Cinemax India dropped 4.99%, to trade at Rs 127.45. Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 99.43% to 402 compared with 22-day average volume of 71,066.

DB Realty declined 3.15%, to trade at Rs 73.70. Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 62.46% to 1,453,514 compared with 22-day average volume of 3,871,490.

Eros International Media fell 2.81%, to trade at Rs 176.10. Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 78.30% to 833,971 compared with 22-day average volume of 467,741.

Opto Circuits (India)went down2.53%, to trade at Rs 52.00. Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 67.40% to 1,694,531 compared with 22-day average volume of 5,198,022.

PVR dipped 0.17%, to trade at Rs 258.20. Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 89.01% to 15,153 compared with 22-day average volume of 137,893.

Mid-cap gainers

ABG Shipyard jumped 8.8%, to trade at Rs 313.40. The total volume of shares traded was 238,681 at the BSE (11.01 a.m., Tuesday). Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 540.65% to 1,013,323 compared with 22-day average volume of 158,172.

CORE Education and Technologies surged 5.63%, to trade at Rs 117.20. The total volume of shares traded was 1,475,222 at the BSE (11.00 a.m., Tuesday). Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 319.15% to 5,578,436 compared with 22-day average volume of 1,330,892.

Orbit Corporation gained 0.74%, to trade at Rs 34.00. The total volume of shares traded was 133,031 at the BSE (11.01 a.m., Tuesday). Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 56.12% to 472,103 compared with 22-day average volume of 1,075,959.
