Spicejet, Jet Airways fall on competition fears

Aviation major Spicejet and Jet Airways (India) fell on fears of increased competition on Thursday after Malaysia's AirAsia said it plans to launch a regional airline in association with the Tata Group.Shares of Spicejet declined Rs 2.05, or 5.07%, to trade at Rs 38.40. The company lost Rs 1.23 billion in market capitalisation to Rs 49.12 billion.

Shares of Jet Airways (India) declined Rs 14.65, or 2.51%, to trade at Rs 568.55. The company lost Rs 1.02 billion in market capitalisation to Rs 18.57 billion.
