Sun Pharma climbs nearly 3% on USFDA nod for Doxil

Leading drug maker Sun Pharmaceutical
Industries climbed on Tuesday after its subsidiary received an
USFDA approval for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for
generic version of Doxil, Doxorubicin HCl Uposome Injection USP,
2mg/ml, packaged in 20 mg/lQmL and SO mg/25tnL single-use
vials.
Doxorubicin HCl liposome injection is used to treat patients
with ovarian cancer that has progressed or recurred after
platinum-based chemotherapy.
Shares ofthe companyare trading at Rs
738.50, up Rs 20.35, or 2.83% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on
Tuesday at 10:13 a.m.The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs
752.10 and low of Rs 727.60. The total volume of shares traded at
the BSE is 69,319.In the earlier session, the shares declined
0.23%, or Rs 1.65, at Rs 718.15. Currently, the stock is trading
down 4.82% from its 52-week high of Rs 775.90 and above 38.79% over
the 52-week low of Rs 532.10.
