Bayer CropScience gains on good Q2 numbers

Bayer CropScience, the Indian subsidiary
of Bayer Germany, gained on Thursday after itreported a growth of
16.42% in net profit for the quarter ended September 2012.During
the quarter, the net profit of the company rose to Rs 978.5 million
as compared with Rs 840.5 million in the same period last
year.Shares of the companyare trading at Rs 1,127, up Rs 17.9, or
1.61% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday at 10:03 a.m.
Net sales during the quarter grew
13.20% to Rs 8.27 billion compared with the same period last year.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 1,154 and low of Rs
1,122. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 3,057.In the
earlier session, the shares declined 0.26%, or Rs 2.90, at Rs
1,109.10. Currently, the stock is trading down 1.14% from its
52-week high of Rs 1,140 and above 67.45% over the 52-week low of
Rs 673.05.
