Lupin gains over 2% on USFDA nod for Irbesartan

Pharma major Lupin gained on Wednesday
after its subsidiary Lupin Pharmaceutical has received final
approval for its Irbesartan tablets, 75 mg, 150 mg and 300 mg from
the United States Food and Drugs Administration (FDA).This is to
market a generic version of Sanofi Aventis US, LLC"s Avapro
tablets, 75 mg, 150 mg and 300 mg strengths.
Shares ofthe companyare trading at Rs
566.90, up Rs 12.1, or 2.18% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on
Wednesday at 1:08 p.m.The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs
568 and low of Rs 555.10. The total volume of shares traded at the
BSE is 44,541.In the earlier session, the shares lost 1.35%, or Rs
7.6, at Rs 554.80. Currently, the stock is trading down 10.29% from
its 52-week high of Rs 631.90 and above 38.44% over the 52-week low
of Rs 409.50.
