Neyveli Lignite gains on new power project

Neyveli Lignite Corporation gained on
Tuesday after it entered into joint venture agreement with Uttar
Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (UPRVUNL) to set up power plant.
The agreement is for setting up a 1,980
MW coal based thermal power project in Ghatampur Tehsil, Kanpur
Nagar District, Uttar Pradesh with a shareholding of 51% of the
equity by NLG and 49% by UPRVUNL.Shares ofthe companyare trading at
Rs 87.10, up Rs 0.9, or 1.04% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on
Tuesday at 9:23 a.m.The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs
87.80 and low of Rs 86.50. The total volume of shares traded at the
BSE is 6,061.In the earlier session, the shares rose 1.41%, or Rs
1.2, at Rs 86.20. Currently, the stock is trading down 17.28% from
its 52-week high of Rs 105.30 and above 28.75% over the 52-week low
of Rs 67.65.
