Top Congress leaders rushed to the office of the ECI in New Delhi late in the night to hand over a petition against the rejection, but were denied entry leading to a protest outside the office.
With more opposition MPs aligning with the ruling NDA, government sources indicate that possibilities are being explored to give a fresh push to the delimitation bill.
